To my surprise after one year's wear a "bubble" appeared in each heel as a sign of wear. The thin rubber on each hell wore through revealing a hole! The heel is hollow rather than a solid piece of rubber. EMail complaints to Campers resulted in no reply. Very disappointed in the lack of follow-up to my complaint about the heel. The sole is made of rubber and thick enough to make you walk both quiet and comfortable on hard floors. I really like them. I am in love with these shoes and have to disagree with the other comment about going a size up- I am a size 6 and was reluctant to purchase shoes online but they fit perfectly and are really comfortable! Not so! I normally wear a 9, infrequently a 9. 5. I could not even get my foot into the size 39. I returned them and ordered the 40. Perfect fit with thin socks, but, since I wanted to wear them without socks, I put in a thin insole for snugness and absorption. Now they are perfect. My 15 year old daughter thinks I am crazy, but I love these shoes. . Comfy and nice quality. I will wear these most seasons, except maybe the summer. I will take out the insole and wear them with socks in the winter. Great shoes, but go up a size. If you always wear a 9. 5, the size 40 should be perfect for you. The shipping was fast, and I got a refund on my first pair the day the 2nd pair came. I am happy with my purchase. . |
